Most of our Texas bass lakes did not start out as bass lakes, but as reservoirs It is a good combination, a place to store water for home and industry, and sport fishing in one nice wet package.

At the very start of the Texas Republic, water was a great concern, when Texas became a state, our leaders began to plan for our future needs, a trend which has continued throughout our history, and into the present. Minnesota may be called the “Land Of Lakes”, but the state of Texas has more area covered by water!

Because we have so many acres covered with water, bass fishing in the state has become a huge industry, and with so many premier bass lakes, bass fishing  in Texas has become a major tourist attraction, bringing in millions of dollars annually!

So, what are you waiting for, get your bass in gear, and go fish your bass off!
